Report a Problem

Last updated: January 2026

If something on scanhua.site is broken, wrong, missing, or otherwise not working the way it should, we want to know. This page describes the most efficient way to tell us, the kinds of problems we handle, and how to escalate when a category of problem requires a different channel.

1. The general procedure

Email info [at] scanhua [punto] site with the subject line Bug report: [short description] and include, where applicable:

  1. The URL of the page where the problem occurred.
  2. A description of what you expected to happen and what actually happened.
  3. The browser and operating system you were using (e.g., “Chrome 132 on Windows 11,” “Safari 18 on iOS 18.2”).
  4. A screenshot, if one helps.
  5. Any error messages displayed.
  6. Whether the problem is reproducible (does it happen every time, or just once?).

The more of this information you include, the faster we can reproduce the problem and fix it. Vague reports (“the site is broken”) are processed slowly because we have to ask follow-up questions before we can act.

2. Categories of problems we handle

2a. Broken pages and technical bugs

Pages that fail to load, layouts that break on specific devices, links that go to 404 pages, search functionality that returns wrong results, comment forms that fail to submit. Send to info [at] scanhua [punto] site; the subject line tag Bug report or Technical issue helps routing.

2b. Factual errors in articles

Incorrect dates, misspelled names, wrong sales figures, misattributed quotations, incorrect plot details, outdated claims about availability. Send to info [at] scanhua [punto] site with subject line Correction request: [URL]. The full process is on our Corrections Policy.

2c. Bad advertising

Ads that redirect you against your will, ads that display offensive content, ads that simulate system warnings, ads that auto-play sound, ads that prevent the page from being read. We do not control individual creatives served by the ad network, but we act on specific complaints — we can flag the offending creative to the network for removal, and in repeated cases we adjust network settings.

Send to info [at] scanhua [punto] site with subject line Bad ad: [URL]. Include a screenshot or, if that is not feasible, a description of the ad creative (brand, copy, visual elements) so we can identify it in the network’s interface.

2d. Accessibility barriers

If the site fails to work for you with a screen reader, keyboard navigation, browser zoom, or other assistive technology, please tell us. The procedure is on our Accessibility Statement, section 7. We treat accessibility reports with priority comparable to factual corrections.

2e. Comment moderation issues

If a comment you posted is missing, if a comment you reported has not been removed, or if you believe the moderation has been unfair, send a message to info [at] scanhua [punto] site with subject line Comment moderation: [article URL].

2f. Privacy and data issues

For data access, deletion, or correction requests, the right address is privacy [at] scanhua [punto] site, not the general info address. The full process is on our Privacy Policy.

2g. Copyright issues

If you are reporting alleged copyright infringement, the right address is dmca [at] scanhua [punto] site and the procedure is on the DMCA Page. Do not use the general bug-report channel for DMCA notices; they have a specific statutory format and a specific response timeline.

3. What we do not handle through this channel

  • Problems with works themselves. If a manga reading platform does not work for you, the right address is the platform’s support team. We are not Manga Plus, Webtoon, or Bilibili Manga.
  • Problems with retailers. If your shipment from a manga retailer is late, contact the retailer.
  • Disputes about content of articles. Editorial disagreements (you think we got an opinion wrong, you think we were unfair to a work) are not “problems” in the bug-report sense; they go through the editorial-complaint channel described on our Editorial Standards, section 13.
  • Customer support for unrelated services. If your email arrives addressed to “Crunchyroll Support” or “Webtoon Help,” we will gently redirect you to the correct destination.

4. Sample bug report (good format)

Subject: Bug report: search returns no results for valid query

Hi,

I am trying to search for “Vinland Saga” in the search box at the top of the site, but I get a “no results” page even though I can see Vinland Saga reviews when I navigate to them directly through the menu.

URL: https://scanhua.site/?s=Vinland+Saga
Browser: Firefox 124 on Ubuntu 22.04
Steps to reproduce: type “Vinland Saga” in the search box, press Enter
Expected: list of relevant articles
Actual: empty results page
Reproducible: yes, every time

Screenshot attached.

Thanks.

5. Sample bad-ad report (good format)

Subject: Bad ad: redirect on /vinland-saga-review/

Hi,

When I open the page https://scanhua.site/vinland-saga-review/, the page redirects me automatically to a different domain (looked like a fake antivirus warning) before the article can load.

URL of the article: https://scanhua.site/vinland-saga-review/
Time of incident: roughly 14:30 CET, 12 January 2026
Browser: Chrome 132 on Android
Adblocker: none
Reproducible: happened twice in a row, then stopped on third attempt

I did not save a screenshot before the redirect happened. Domain I was redirected to was something like “fake-warning-1234.[tld]”.

Thanks.

6. Response times

Problem TypeTarget Response
Site-down / major outageSame day (often within hours)
Bad ad / redirect24–48 business hours
Accessibility barrier3 business days for acknowledgment, 4 weeks for substantive remediation
Factual correction48 business hours
Layout / display bug3–5 business days

7. Anonymous reporting

If you would like to report a problem without identifying yourself, you may use a pseudonymous email address. We act on the substance of the report regardless of identity. Our only request is that the report itself be substantive enough to act on; an anonymous “the site is broken” with no further detail is not actionable.

8. Thanks for reporting

Reader-reported problems make this site better. Many of the improvements we have made over the years — faster page loads, cleaner layout on small screens, fixed factual errors in older articles, removed bad ad creatives — came from reader bug reports. We appreciate the time it takes to write a clear report.
