We are a small editorial team and we read every email that comes in. Using the right address and a clear subject line makes the difference between a fast response and a slow one. This page lists the addresses, what each is for, and what to expect.

1. Email addresses

AddressUse for
info [at] scanhua [punto] siteGeneral inquiries, editorial questions, correction requests, story tips, reader feedback, guest contributor inquiries
privacy [at] scanhua [punto] siteGDPR / CCPA requests, data access, deletion requests, privacy policy questions
dmca [at] scanhua [punto] siteDMCA copyright notices, counter-notifications, takedown requests
business [at] scanhua [punto] siteAdvertising, sponsorship, partnership proposals, media kit requests

The “[at]” and “[punto]” notation is a basic anti-spam measure; in your email client, replace them with the actual @ and . characters before sending.

2. Expected response times

Inquiry TypeTarget Response Time
DMCA notices48 business hours (acknowledgment within 24)
Correction requests48 business hours
General editorial inquiries3–5 business days
Privacy / GDPR requestsWithin 30 calendar days (usually faster)
Business and advertising proposals5–7 business days
Guest contributor pitches7–14 business days

“Business days” exclude weekends and Italian public holidays. Urgent legal matters that require faster handling should be flagged in the subject line; we have processes for handling them outside the normal queue when warranted.

3. How to write an effective email

The fastest replies go to emails that are easy to act on. A few guidelines:

  • Use a descriptive subject line. “Correction request: [URL]” beats “Hi”. “DMCA Takedown Notice — [Work Title]” beats “Important Legal Matter”.
  • State your request in the first paragraph. Background context is helpful, but the action you want from us should be clear within the first few sentences.
  • Include URLs. When referring to specific articles, paste the full URL. Article titles change; URLs are more reliable identifiers.
  • Provide evidence where relevant. Correction requests with sources are processed faster than those without. DMCA notices with the required statutory elements are processed faster than those that need to be returned for completion.
  • Be patient. We are four people. We will respond, but rapid-fire follow-up emails (“just checking in?”) tend to push your message back in the queue rather than forward.

4. What we do not handle by email

  • Technical support for the works themselves. If your e-reader will not open a Manga Plus chapter, the right address is Manga Plus support, not us.
  • Customer service for retailers and platforms. If your shipment from a manga retailer is late, contact the retailer.
  • Translation requests. We are not a translation service, and we cannot translate articles or works on demand.
  • Personal recommendations beyond what is on the site. Our reader’s guide and reviews are the public version of our recommendations; we cannot maintain individual reading lists for readers via email.
  • Detailed plot summaries on request. Our published reviews include the level of plot detail we are comfortable providing; we do not produce additional summaries on request.

5. Channels we do not currently use

We do not have a customer service phone line, and we do not provide editorial responses through social media direct messages. If you have a substantive question or report, email is the channel that gets it to the right person.

For routine engagement — reactions, casual replies, sharing — our social presence (where active) is the appropriate venue. For anything that requires a documented response from us, email.

6. Time zones

Most of our editorial team operates on Central European Time (CET / CEST). Our usual working hours, when handling correspondence, are roughly 09:00–19:00 CET, Monday through Friday. We do read email outside these hours, and we may respond outside them, but please calibrate expectations to “business days” in this time zone.

7. Postal correspondence

For matters requiring postal correspondence (legal service, formal license requests requiring physical signature, certified communications), please request the postal address by emailing info [at] scanhua [punto] site. We do not publish the address on the site to limit the volume of unwanted physical mail, but we provide it on request for legitimate purposes.

8. Press

For press inquiries (interviews, comment requests, profile pieces about Scanhua or its founder), please email info [at] scanhua [punto] site with the subject line Press inquiry — [outlet] and include your deadline and the angle you are pursuing. We respond to legitimate press inquiries from established outlets within 48 business hours.

9. Errors and complaints

If you have a complaint about a specific article (factual error, alleged unfairness, conflict of interest concerns), please use the Report a Problem page or email info [at] scanhua [punto] site with the subject line Editorial complaint: [URL]. Our handling process is described in the Corrections Policy and the Editorial Standards.
